This AVO (Audio Video Ordinal) was first etched as a rune on 15 July 2024. Since that time, no one has made a single mint, suggesting it has remained undiscovered for almost four months. Although I originally named these new digital artefacts 'Audital Vidinals' to emphasise the presence of both audio and video, I tend to refer to them in shorthand simply as 'Vidinals.' Ultimately, time will tell what terminology people adopt as well as where the technology takes us. The beauty of the Vidinal is that it is fully on-chain. No government or company on Earth can take down this Vidinal of the Trump assassination attempt. What it means for the Bitcoin Blockchain to now be a decentralised and immutable video hosting/sharing platform, with marketplaces already capable of making the buying and selling of these Vidinals seamless, is yet to be felt. I don't know if the world is ready, but progress won't wait.
